Sure it's a tight classic but there is no way in the world that I would pay 22 000 dollars for an "old" car with no power steering or ABS.

They still make brand now mark GTIs in SA??

I'm sure it would be a great car to drive, but safety is important, do they sell the new golf there?

What other options have you got for the price?

LOL 6.5 secs to 100km/h WOW

Hmmmm would it be a daily driver or a track day car ?

How many 4x4s are in Africa (where you live) I know its a dumb question

If you have gazillion 4x4s where you live you may want to think seriously about it.

Are you safe driver ?

Are Africans around YOU safe drivers ?

If you feel safe driving it and not worried about other drivers I say go for it otherwise theres always a Polo or Golf GTI

Sorry i meant 7.5 Seconds 0-100.....
Daily drive for me, i do about 60-70Km a day.....Company pays for fuel..
5years driving and no accidents so far....TOUCH WOOD ALL NOW ....!!
South africa has the best roads in africa, maybe similar 2 australia ...
In city we got 4lane highways, but i am in Swaziland and the roads are average at best.....though just bypass roads are gravel ...
There is some very very dangerous drivers in t5his part of the world, trust me on that.. ..

the biggest problem is stray animals sometimes on the countryside eg cows,Goats,Elephants, Lions, Wolves, Hippos, Bears... Just KIDDING HAHAHAHAAH ITSjust cows and goats....

Im damn confused!!!!!

I think you need to look how much more a newer car would cost, such as the polo GTI, or another make, if it's not much more then I'd say the added safety would be worth the price, as well as the added refinement, technolgy, nicer interior etc.!
