I definitely want to trade her in at the end of next year/beginning of 2009 for a 335i Sedan though. At that time, she will be sorely missed.

Hey, Dylan. I know the the 2.0 TFSI comes with the 6 CD changer audio. Now, my question. Is there an aux-in? I want to hook up my ipod to the audio. Don't need to work with the wheel buttons. Just want to be able to feed in my ipod sound to the audio on the Jetta.

No doubt, Jetta is a great choice/buy ...! This compact sedan is way ahead than rest of competitors in it's class in almost every department...!

Only thing to rethink here is "price-tag" ...!

Thanks all for your replies. And nalyd, I am sure I will have questions when my Jetta gets delivered next week.

I guess flashing the ECU does improve the performance. I'm not sure about touching the ECU but maybe I'll try tuning it up after driving it somewhat.

BTW, I asked the dealer where my car was produced and he told me Mexico. I guess Mexico and Brazil made cars could be pretty equal in quality. :P He told me that most Jettas are made in Mexico now. (I don't know if that's true or not)

Will up pics when I get my car!
I think there's an MTM upgrade on ECU that comes in stages. First stage is 245bhp (not really sure about this) for the A6 2.0T, I'd think it's the same for the Jetta. Later stages and you'd need 4MOTION.

Hi there Skiordie

Sorry for the late response, but work has been hectic.

Here in SA the 6 disc CD changer is an option, it come standard with a front loader. If you take the CD changer option you lose the aux-in port, thus cannot hook up an iPod. For the record, I bought the VW approved iPod connector, which enables me to play through the head-unit (although the functionality is limited, no song name, only 6 playlists plus a random), anyway it beats not having one, but it could certainly do with an upgrade.

Regards,
Dylan

Oh oh... that's a shame. Mine is being equiped with the 6 CD changer, crap! I guess I'll have to google some fm transmitter that will send my ipod music to the audio.

I wonder...

Do I have to feed the 2.0 TFSI with Premium fuel? Is it ok to fill her up with just regular?

TIA!

I only use 95 (which is the highest octane fuel you get there in SA). You can use our 93 as well, but VW recommends 95 or Premium.

Dylan
