Your car looks very well maintained. The Golf is the perfect car for city driving, it is just the right size and have the right performance, i was going to get one myself. Well, seeing as I have only driven one other car, a Renault Megane while I had my driving lessons, I can't really say how it compares to other cars that much. I'd say the engine is a bit laggy at times, sometimes it goes, and other times it doesn't. The interior is really nice and it has great build quality and still looks good today. I wouldn't so it was so reliable, but to be fair it is 8 years old, and has done 180,000 miles so overall very impressive.
Personally I really like it, and because of the high mileage, it would make a great second hand buy, it's currently worth just £3500! | | | | | Devotee

Although dad has been the main driver, and he doesn't accelerate as hard as me, but most of the miles are done on the motorway, and he does about 95mph, so then it's driven hardish! | | | | | Connoisseur

I have been considering this second-hand Mk4 Golf as my first car... But it's simply too pricey. I can get a E200 W124 for half its price.
Nevertheless, I like it a lot... I wish I could sit in it for one day, just to see how good the interior is compared to the Mk5.
BTW, the rear lights at night looks great, very sleek... Much better than the Mk5 IMO. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Mr. M For This Useful Post: | | | The Photo Phanatic

I'm going to be perfectly honest here: IMHO, the MK4 is a much better designed car than the MPV looking MKV, especially the R32 variant. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Deutsch For This Useful Post: | | | GCZ's High Court
