Hi,

I was at the MB dealer to finally see the GLk in person. I didn't get chance to drive it, but just seeing it and getting inside I was very impressed. I previosly considered the Land Rover Freelander 2 (LR2) bbut at least inside this is in a different leage (the price is also higher, about 36k EUR for the FL2 compared to 42k EUR for the GLK).

I liked the Sports Interior package option, but according to the dealer you must also take the Sport exterior or Off-Road stryling option - and I don't like to order neither of them as they add alot to the price and are not worth it. Also I like to order the Off-road engineering package but accoridng to them it must come with the off-road styling package. I cheked on the German Mercedes web site (online configrator) and it is not like that, you can order this packages seperaetly) - so I think either it is a dealer thing or they made an error. Can someone with EU spec. confirm/deny this?

I cannot go to some other dealer as this is the only one in our country.

Packages and the combination of them are often different from country to country. So the possible configurations your dealer show, could be right. I have no idea. My informations only base on the configurator as well. And like you already wrote, here it is possible to order those parts seperaetly.

If it was for a run of the mill Honda Jazz... bend over and buy what they have...

For a GL Class... tell them what you want (since it's just a configuration available but not locally, nocing extravagant). And mention it's this or no sale.
Forced bundling is illegal in most countries...
