WOW, looks even better in the metal, just look at how beautifully the character lines are high lighted. The steering wheel is the same as the one in the C63, the interior is sparkling. I'm very impressed, this is bound to steal a lot of sales from the C-class estate.

This car looks like a puppy. Cute & feminine.

I can see my 60-year old nouveau-riche aunty driving this ... with all the pride & snobbery.

Perfect car for Samantha Jones.

MB knows its customer base for this car very well.

Is that the most negative comment you could make up about the car? If that's the case then you have failed, let me welcome you to the 21 centuryThese days SUVs are primarily driven by women and just like any other SUV, women will flock all around this car. I find it to be a very attractive car and does look more masculine in dark colours. Very trendy, young and fresh looking car.

It's my answer to tarek's claim the car looks masculine.

Right ...

Just like you've said ... small SAVs are primarily driven by female drivers. And such cars are aimed at such population.

While male drivers prefer larger SAVs ... especially in Europe.

Women drive the large SUVs as well, I see countless of female faces behind the wheel of cars like the X5, Cayenne and Range Rover.

The SUV segment has reached the level of saturation, especially in the US where there are close to 20-30 SUV on the market. In stead of developing "just another SUV" MB did the right thing by distinguishing the GLK from the rest with a unique and bold design. I can picture people calling the GLK "boxy baby Benz". Very eye catching car with character and is bound to be put to people's memory.

Your post about the GLK was harsh man, would never have expected such one from u in particular anyway about the who drives what and stuff, well that segment is not exclusive to women as i see hell lot of females driving cayennes and RRs not just small SUVs same goes with males i have to say i see alot of young college guys driving X3 and LR2 alot actually so MB making the GLK looking like a tank with four wheels is gonna be seriously popular among guys at least where i live,so far all my males friends who saw the pics of the car were sold on it's rugged looks.

Re: Official Mercedes-Benz GLK - 04-20-2008, 06:50 PM

And they think it's a wonder why people have been finding the 'BMW marketing' on this board arrogant and pompous.

This car is looking fantastic. I hope the interior receives excellent reviews, because it certainly looks the part. YES MB really has nailed their target audience.

Looking forward to head on comparisons with the Q5.
