Hello HOH - It's Rnds here!
Glad to see you're still around HOH

- it's been quiet without you.
I think the GL was intended to replace the G but DCX have decided to keep the old truck going while demand is still there for it.
It reminds me a bit of when Nikon brought out there F4 SLR camera in 1989, they continued to produce it's predecessor, the F3, which was launched in 1980 - and even after the F4 was replaced by the F5, strong demand for the F3 kept it in production up until only a couple of years ago.
Nikon F3 (this is F3T model, made from titanium) Anybody who knows a bit about 35mm photographic equipment considers it a true classic - just like the G class - demand for it kept it in production, even when it was a technical dinosaur.
