First images surface

Hyundai is entering new waters with their luxury sedan Genesis, due for its hwo debut soon, and SsangYong is not far behind.

The Carfanatic quotes Choi Hyung Tak, Ssangyong’s CEO: “We’ve thoroughly analyzed the - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER, - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER, - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER and other potential competitors for the launch of this model. Which leads us to believe that this SsangYong luxury sedan will be marketed worldwide.

The SsangYong Chairman W will be powered by a 3.6 liter or 5 liter V8 gasoline engine coupled with a seven-speed transmission. Stay tuned for more when it becomes available.

Heheh, why not? It's a sweet easy way to make $$$ this way. It's not like MB will be held responsible for what SsangYong does with this 'borrowed technology'

No way,man..This car is going to be revolitonay in every aspect(design,motorisation,equipment,price),be sure of that..I expect this car to dethrone german cars from leadership in luxury segment

Even with that lighting and art photo they don't manage to make it look good....

The first pic looks like an old Benz, the sideview comes from a misdone Beemer...

The motor is obviously a Mercedes V8 (or they copied also the coverage design..) like the platform surely is, like the old Chairman.

The real thing will be scary...Wonder how much it will be priced.

I hate that type of "teaser" photography making the car look sexier and more exclusive than what it is in real life.
