![]() | Re: Americans too fat to drive? My sister was stranded in Miami last weekend, when her British Airways flight back to London was delayed for a day due to some technical problem, this is what she emailed me: "I went downstairs and had dinner and the waiter gave me a voucher for dinner and for breakfast. This time it was more than enough to cover the meal! At least British Airways got their act together with the quality of the accommodation and the food allowances! (Had a real American beef burger! MY GOD! I understand now why there are obesity problems in this country! It was SO good! I tell you - if I lived here, I am sure I'd be a big beefy momma!)" My sister is very small. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Americans too fat to drive? ^wow, and thats in an escalade! i'd have to agree with what Robs sister wrote about American food. Some of the stuff is so tasty and abundant (ie. Krispy Kreme). I went to red lobster a few months ago near seattle and wholy crap! I didn't know what to order so I got a sample plater. this is what it looked like: almost everything there was either deep fried or covered in heavy dressing. If I lived near a cold stone creamery i'd probably be 300lbs. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Americans too fat to drive? I was in the states for one and a half months, about three weeks ago. Surprisingly I lost weight while I was over there, but I lost in mostly because I walked alot in Washington DC and New York, oh and I got food poisoning from McD's at the Air and Space museum in the Smithsonian Here's my contribution to the fat jokes below... Mmmm deep-fried cheesecake with caramel and chocolate sauce drizzled on it. Heart-attack in a meal I tells ya. |
