The whole race was about what could have happened. Kimi probably would have won w/o the safety car period. Webber should have at least had a podium. Then, after both of their retirements, Barrichello should have had a podium for Honda until he got a drive-through penalty. After that, Trulli would have had a podium for Toyota until his retirement. Coulthard is very lucky to be able to wear that superman cape on the podium.
Ok, even if he was to far out to the left, why turn left twice?

A compilation of clips filmed by spectators from apartements around the track. Some fantastic views

Too far to the right. Anyway, I'm not defending him. All I'm saying is the line he took was not the correct line.

I stand by my statement.

Here's a comparison of trajectories so to say at almost the same point on the track. Also, note the steering input.

Also, look here.

Need I explain more?

Lol, yes it's a right turn, but he needs to have the car farther to the left to hit the apex at a decent speed. Of course, he could go in inches from the barrier on the right and then creep around the corner, but that wouldn't really be racing would it? Are you just messing around?

Best way to shut everyone's mouth:

Lap record for Michael Schumacher

Michael Schumacher this afternoon broke the unofficial lap record at Circuit de Catalunya with a best lap of 1:13.471s in his Bridgestone-shod Ferrari, eclipsing the previous best set last month by Jenson Button (1:13.522s). With Luca Badoer destroying his 248 F1, it was certainly a mixed day for the Ferrari team as they prepare for the British Grand Prix.

Heikki Kovalainen was second fastest for Renault, six-tenths off the ultimate pace while Ricardo Zonta was an encouraging third fastest for Toyota. Nico Rosberg was fourth fastest in his Williams Cosworth ahead of Giancarlo Fisichella and Jarno Trulli.

Pedro de la Rosa shared a McLaren Mercedes with Juan Pablo Montoya and was seventh fastest ahead of Jacques Villeneuve, Jenson Button and Luca Badoer. Testing resumes at the circuit again tomorrow.
