Yes, I agree with this but can't find a poll optiont that best suits my opinion. I am not a fan of his, but I do recognize him as being one of the best F1 drivers of all time. He obviously still has what it takes to be competetive at his age, so I believe he should still be in F1 (if a former champion like Jacques Villeneuve can still be in F1 then M. Schumacher certainly can).

There was never a problem with MS in 2005, it was the car+tyres.
Any driver, no matter how good, can't do s--- in F1, if he doesn't have the proper car+tyres.

He'll probably go down the same road as most all other great sportsmen: have someone start beating him....

Hey, who voted for "Wait until Eddie Irvine or some ex-F1 driver writes a column?" I meant to say "....some ex-F1 driver writes a column telling Schu he's all washed up."

donau, other great sportsmen don't have nearly as much health hazards as an aging F1 star. When someone starts beating Schu and he's starts pushing too hard, his road could run out quickly, i.e. 200 mph straight into a wall and a smashing demise.

I voted No, he's still the best F1 driver!

I think he still has the skill, and when he has the right car, as he has at the moment, he can still go very fast!

Although I think he should quit when he's still in front, he doesn't want to do what DC has done, continuing on with a mid-field team, who once won races, and now is lucky enough to get a point!

What mid-field team who once won races is Coulthard racing with now that you speak of? Unless you're speaking of Stewart Grand Prix, which won one race, which was then bought by Ford and became Jaguar Racing. It was purchased again and is now Red Bull Racing. Is this what you're referring to?

*Edit: You said won races, plural, so you are probably making a mistake here somewhere. Unless by "who once won races" you're referring to DC himself, in which case you phrased the sentence incorrectly.

Re: Time for Schu to go? - 05-31-2006, 08:48 AM

lol, I see you misunderstood me completely!

What I was trying to say is DC once raced for Mclaren, one of the top teams, and the peak of his career! Now he is in Red Bull Racing, which will never be as good as Mclaren, so as he gets older he drops down into a less good team!

So what I'm saying is he was once is a great team, now he's in a worse team, meaning he isn't as good as he once was, if you get what I mean!
