The Hinwil based team's owner BMW now departs formula one, and although bought by the Qadbak consortium, Sauber does not have a guaranteed entry to return to the grid in 2010.
German Heidfeld raced for Sauber's privateer team in 2001-2003, before returning to the Swiss camp for the start of the BMW era four years ago.

Good for him. I really hope he gets a decent drive next year. IMO, in a crappy car, he's outperformed Kubik consistently.
