As expected the BrawnGP cars are very strong. Jenson did well, Rubens stuffed it, same with Vettel.

A perfect marriage that didn't end in the predicted way today. But there will still be opportunities to score points tomorrow.

Kimi

He screwed up my tips. I picked Button, Barrichello, and Vettel. I would have nailed if not for Kimi.

2008 Monaco Grand Prix winner looked to be a contender for a start on the front two rows of the grid, but it all went wrong for the defending champion this afternoon as he made an error in qualifying whilst running seventh in the first round of qualifying.

Locking his rear brakes on entry to the Mirabeau right hander, the McLaren Mercedes slewed sideway and the left rear of the MP4-24 made heavy contact with the tyre barrier. The red flag flew to recover the crippled McLaren.

Hamilton was soon bumped down to 16th as qualifying resumed, but following the one hour session, it emerged that the car not only sustained left rear suspension damage, but also required a new gearbox.

Hamilton therefore incurs a gearbox change penalty and drops down to the back of the field behind the struggling BMW Sauber and Toyota teams.

I really thought that Williams and Nico would get the pole, but for some reason, the Williams always seem to fade off during qualifying and on the raceday.

Based on the car weights, it's amazing to see that RedBull are running light and qualified down the order. Maybe the car isn't working at Monaco. Interesting to note that Nakajima is pretty high up there, considering the weight of the car.

I really hope it will be an interesting race, and not a boring one like Spain.

I just hope the first 19 cars crash and explode. Then Hamilton can win

I don't even care for Williams any longer. They are all pre-race hype with blistering testing and practice time. It was the same story last year when the constantly failed to put their pace to practice during race weekends.

I think that's an unfair judgement. Williams are one of the only privateer team to survive all these years, and they do deserve some credit. I certainly always keep an eye for them, they have got a greta driver in Nico, and if they can get their problems solved, it would be nice to see them challenging for wins again.

Williams don't have the budget to compete with big names, but i've learned to respect them as a team over the years. I just hope Nico would pull a surprise and win a GP soon.

They've got a terrific car and had a reasonably competitive one last year too. I don't know if it's because their car is unstable but Rosberg and Nakajima have a tendency to wreck their cars or get into trouble.
