![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I knew the file couldn't succeed. The only argument is to leave (or threaten to do so). With the majors temas out (Macca should joint them now!) the F1 is dead. The fans will follow their teams/drivers, not the FIA. Only would it be costly (break the contracts or replace them, create a new structure, advertise it, attract the sponsors who might just leave that whole business...). Long, costly. But possible.

And it's not all that concerns me. Some these names mentioned (Lola, Wirth Racing) are former F1 reject teams "reloaded" and/or are lead by former failures. Lola haven't had a competitive car since, I think, 1965 or 67. The last time, they made complete fools out of themselves. Wirth Racing is basically Simtek 2.0, another failure/F1 reject. Nick Wirth was supposed to be the next superstar designer, and after Simtek he went to Benetton to replace Ross Brawn and Rory Byrne who followed Schu at Ferrari. And we know what a bunch of failures his Benetton designs where. It's like a "bring us your failures, losers, no names" madness. | |
