New American F1 Team set to Join the Grid in 2010

Quote:
A new formula one team is under wraps in America and set to be launched officially later this month, it is reported on Wednesday.
The team, whose logo can be previewed at usf1.com, is fronted by F1 stalwart and broadcaster Peter Windsor, and American Ken Anderson, of Indycar and NASCAR fame but also former Ligier technical director.
Briton Windsor, 56, has worked for Williams and Ferrari, but is best known today as a television pundit and writer.

I fear that they fail miserably as they will be inclined to chose American drivers who have not grown up in the Formula one culture, and underestimate the difference between F1 and other motor sports. Sébastien Bourdais is an excellent example, splendid driver who fell flat in F1.

Bourdais did ok in his first F1 season. Does anyone remember Scott Speed, he was worse.

Sebastin Bourdais is french and he came up the formula ladder in Europe including winning F3000 championship before going to Champ car series.

Yeah I know that he has a formula racing background, but I was just stressing how even champions like him can hard in F1. Another thing is that the US auto industry is in a very bad shape already and this projects appears to be another way of throwing money into the ocean. Luckily they will be able to use cosworth engines rather than having to develop their own.

The rumors goes the USF1 team will bring the first female racer into the F1 circus: Danica Patrick.

Thumbs up USA F1 Huh ?!?

Until US drivers are carting fanatics by 8 years old, glued to the TV watching F1 races at 8 am and embrace technology in racing there will not be another US F1 point scorer.
Want to see the future of F1 ?
Keep your eyes on Sebastien Vettel !!!

Wow, that has to be the most biased and offensive comment I've ever seen on here.

How exactly will Americans ruin Formula 1? With their inferior driving skills? Their accents? Their redneck, inbred smell?

It's pitiful that ignorant elitism like yours still exists.
