Enzo designer leaves Pininfarina

The designer of the Ferrari Enzo, Ken Okuyama, has parted company with Pininfarina, where he has been director of design since July 2005.

Okuyama is arguably one of the most influential car designers of the past decade - he has worked for GM and Porsche, and is a professor at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.

As well as the Enzo, Okuyama's work at Pininfarina includes the Ferrari 599, plus many less glamorous designs for Alfa Romeo, Honda, Mitsubishi and Peugeot.

Pininfarina says that the designer's departure "comes as a result of the various external activities Ken Okuyama was carrying out beyond his responsibilities within Pininfarina."

Pininfarina chairman and CEO Andrea Pininfarina will act as director of design until a replacement is found.

LMAO!!

Come on Tycoon you've got to give him som cred for the Enzo and 599GTB. They might be on top of the list for the most beautiful cars ever made but they are very unique, look cool and are attractive. Let's face it, designing attractive and unique cars is very a very tough task. We have seen a few hideous attempts like the Aztek, the Lexus SUV and BMW 7-series.

I heard SSangyong and some other companies has offered him big money. Haha

Seriously, I'm not much of a fan of his designs and hopefully this will mean that the überpretty Ferrari's will be back?

For the Enzo he won't get a $h!t from me, 'cause that's his worst job ever! That car's design is rediculous and ©®@p!

Hideous attempt - 7 series? C'mon, Luw, you can do better than that...

As far as the 599 GTB is concerned... x 1000000!
