The BMW won.

Guido.
It should have! The Porsche may be fast, but the 7 series would be my pick out of the three.

That's curious... since per tech specs on BMW.de, picking regular X5 and X6 models with the same engine (like, say xDrive35d) also reveals exactly the same weight. While we know that regular X5 lacks the DPC rear torque vectoring thingie standard on regular X6es... since both X5M and X6M feature DPC, one could infer that the active differential weighs nothing
Which is hardly the case.

The BMW won, interesting. They must have been looking for more luxury and comfort than sport this time out.

Who knows what the hell they're looking for. All these magazines just keep on changing their criteria all the damn time.

Well , its nice to see the Panamera not winning every test for a change.

The rear might not be everyone's cup of tea but it does makes the car look rather intriguing and surprisingly it is the rear that's captivating rather than the front, and it looks very low and captivating in the metal.

No wonder there, the other two seems to have had the steering wheel fitted on the wrong side. Sloppy work at assembly? Things like that might be accepted on a Boxster or 3-series but this is a whole different story, costomers in thiss class will demand that the steering wheel is mounted on the correct side. I'm a bit puzzled, Porsche is generally very good as this...

It's actually the other way around. The Porsche and Maserati have UK plates while the bimmer surprisingly has German plates and therefore has the steering wheel fitted on the left side.

It's kind of the time where the ranking from magazines are useless. Nowadays most cars, or at least GCs are so refined and perfected that I doubt there are any advantages of one that is not compensated by the advantage of another, just take the 3series vs A4, simply depends on what you like... 10+ years ago though i think it's pretty safe to say the E36 was the better machine.

I really think this Porsche will be a hit, and I'm glad they didn't build a traditional sedan because, it is a Porsche, and no Porsche's have a tail right? It may be too "traditional" or too "normal" to have something like a 7series or S class, and not everyone likes the Maserati appearance, but Porsche is a widely accepted luxury sporty brand and at least you look more special with one of these. I just hope they don't start building a whole bunch of 4 door smaller Panameras, that would kill the exclusivity.
