![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It appears that all the talk about air springs was right on the money...looks like AMG has dropped the air springs in the front for a sportier setup, only leaving the rear air springs in place for load leveling. Interesting. Where the hell is the official press release! M

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Very pretty and restrained. Just how I like my E AMGs, but the rims are dreadful and don't suit the car's mature appearance. Last year I was a bit reluctant to square exhaust tips, but MB have done a terrific job at making the car recognisable as an AMG but yet a bit refreshing with new tips. Center console looks fantastic, especially the MCT controls. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | What I still don´t believe is that a 3 year old NA 6.2 V8 with 525 hp takes the same time to accelerate from 0 to 100 than a RS6 with a TT V10 and 580 hp. |

![]() | Well skysony engine isn't everything, as we have seen on the last few years cars with more weight, less engine power having better acceleration due to better power efficiency and translating that power to the wheel. One example was the old M5/M6, the Panamera with 4.8 V8 TT accelerates faster than the RS6, so assuming the new E has the MCT, I'd guess the new tranny is doing the magic. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I told you guys the E63 would get the new MCT from the SL63. I like the fact that the shifter was moved to the center console. It just enhances those large bottons next to them. Quote:
The Launch-Control makes the car even faster. Thay might have used this feature when speed testing. If it`s that fast (without LC) to 100km/h than it will hit 60 in the high 3-second range. The SL63 does it in about 4.1 seconds and you know it heavier than the E63. The car looks great but as I said before All AMG models need their own AMG steering wheels and rear-view mirrors!! These` mirrors arnt sporty at all. It should have been fitted with the new CLS mirrors. I had also believed the SL63s` rear diffuser might have found its way on the new E63 this time, not so.. still looks good though Overall it still looks fantastic!
