I've been checking all the German automotive forums and sites I know for new and larger pictures but to no avail. It's like they don't even have a clue that these shots have been released.


But I agree with many here that bigger and moreover better shots are needed before we can pass the final verdict. Even then, seeing the car in real life and up close will be the real deal for me. From previous experiences, cars always look better in real life than they do in the press photos.

Man, and tomorrow I will have to be at a party (photographer) all day and cannot participate in the discussions here!!!

W211 suddenly looks like a relic! That new front is very 21st century sexy. The W211 front looks very 1990ish compared to the new one.

I'm hoping for a full media blow-out tomorrow. With interior details.

The thought alone is crazy. If MB presents the E just before the Z4, the Z4 will piss on the E's parade wouldn't you agree? Nobody on earth exept us diehard fanboys know the new Z4 will soon be released too.
It's not on purpose and it has nothing to do with Z4. E-class is shown now because it's shown now.

Let's all give the W211 a nice round of applause for its service. From my experience it's a superb mid sized executive car. Great comfort with enjoyable driving characteristics. The design of the center console is in my top 5 elegant but still soft and warming. The same can be said for exterior design which can receive no complaints from me.

Well my family still has a 2002 Mercedes E320 W211 and it still is a fantastic car. Very comfortable for long-distance driving. I know the engine wasn't really anything special but it is more than powerful enough and also refined enough. When you ride in that car it still feels like a solid luxury car.

Beim E 500 sind die Endrohre eckig (siehe Foto). Bei V6-Modellen sind sie oval (links und rechts). Die 4-Zylinder Benziner haben links ein ovales Endrohr, während die 4-Zylinder Diesel keine Endrohrblende haben.

The E500 has square exhausts. The V6 engines have oval exhausts to the left and right. The 4-cylinder gasoline engine have a single oval exhaust while the 4-cylinder diesels have no fancy exhaust covering.
