The W212 runs a close 3rd behind the F01 in the line of the worlds longest new car development programs. We've been waiting a while now.

The rear bumper looks too big, but as with all MB's under wraps...there is nothing to worry about once it is shown.

I can say right now, the front lights are going to be a problem for me if they look like facelifted SL.

Not going to be the case. It's pretty crystal clear now that the car will have quad head lights like the W211 and W210.

The design of the tail light will be very sleek and narrow making the huge rear look less heavy. Besides that, the camo covering the entire car except the bumper makes it appear bigger than what it really is.

Thats what I think as well, but all the E-classes have had a bit of over hand at the back but in the end this shall be a fantastic looking car, very fresh and sleek (I can't wait)

Thank god for this page because I have been reading for the last two pages about how MB lost it in terms of their designs and ageing fast .... please.

I really wonder how many of posters are really owners or have once owned a MB. You really have to understand their german way of doing things and once you look at all the details you really understand where are they coming from and respect their point of heritage incorperated in their new designs.

They don't just look at old MB models and throw stuff together - everything is there for a reason. For example - I still own a W202 C class and the new W204 C class and one thing that cought my eye was that how they used 3 stripes that where on the front turn signals and slighty raised from the rest of the indicator on the W202 and than transfere that on to the light of the W204 - the 3 stripes are still there although the indicator is now the part of the whole light and not seperated like on W202.


Once this car loses its wraps everyone shall be stunned just wait and see and the old E class will age really fast so much in terms of ageing fast.
