All the CGIs and taped versions of all MB models are missing the "soul" ... the characteristic that make them a complete mercedes which can only be apparent when the actual vehicle is uncovered and revealed to the public.

Therefore, anything else may be close, but no cigar.

Look at the way the fender line (above the wheel arch) continues into the rear lights ....and the way the main character line runs along the rear to logically follow the top of the lights -- this is good.

But the discussion we were having earlier was based on the general trends we have seen from MB and the available spy pics and chops..

There is a difference between walking to the grave yard in search of a famous relic to revive and taking a slight inspiration from old traditions. I see nothing retro in the GLK and E-class, they might be utility shaped but they don't resembles any of their descendants in any strong way.
