Avantgarde versions could have LED's or E550's in the US and Classis and Elegance versions could have the double fogs. Or the LED's could be part of a lighting package.

You're right, the LED fog lights are there as well. What fog lights the car will have will depend of the trim. The basic(classic) will most likely come with double fogs while the elegance or Avantgarde comes with LED.

I'm holding out that they are fake, they wouldn't show a design feature like that so blatantly before the unveiling. Maybe they just have a sense of humor...hopefully.

Edit: If you look at the top part of the double fogs does it look like it is covering up an LED strip?

They definitely have a sense of humor. Case in point is the current trunk on the CKL ... definitely fake. They had me fooled on the GL as well with fake camo depicting round lights at some point.

That could very well be the case just like how Porsche have concealed the tail lights on the Panamera by gluing a pair of fake ones on top. I certainly hope so because the double fogs are very silly.

You right but that's nothing I want to believe in since I'm really hoping for LED daytime running light across the range. Double fogs were depicted in illustrations over a year ago, so maybe it's meant to be.

Having in mind that normaly the Elegance versions are uglier than the Avantgarde ones, this double fogs seem in line with the last "boring" Merc style.

If it were the real deal, why would it be uncovered? Everything else is heavily disguised as it is in the standard model with LEDs.
