Yes but it's a PS...what about real pics? And it's not really an accurate design for the gearlevel I find...

And here we see there is no wood on the armrest/center console. However the rest of the pic is extremely realistic (despite its age).
Does it mean it's an error of the PS? Or will the manuals (if there are some) come without wood here? I beleive they will have the same woodened center console as the auto, only with the gezrlevel instead of the cupholders (but then, where will go the cupholders? A car without them can't be imagined in the US...)

That part of the headlight looks great. I like the way it fuses into the hood. I guess the real question will be whether it is a one piece or an evolution of the twin eyed design. If it's one piece I think it will look strange.

So far I am really liking the front end design. Don't know about the flare over the rear wheel well. I know that the Chevy Impala has something similar.

We haven't seen any actual spy pics of the car with a manual so I really think the W212 might be automatic-only. Any idea how high the percentage of the cars with automatic transmission is of all W211 sales?

I'd say that cars with manual transmission accounts for less than 10% of the sales.

That's about the same figure what I had in my mind too.

Can't believe some of you are still complaining about the gear shifter. It was first introduced in 2003 in the R-Class Concept and made it into production in the M-Class (in 2005). Every new model ever since the ML has had it (except for the C), even the GLK will feature it.

And yes, it looks like there will be a manual version with a gear shifter in the middle. Remember these photos?
