I lived in Beijing for some time, you see a lot LWB cars over there. Mainly Audi A6 L

Edit; Alwing is spot on. A6L is made in China and there are no import taxes. A8 is made in Germany and much more expensive over there.

It looks as if this is from a film or photo shoot , right now they are in the exact time frame which would probably mean a November deadline with possibly a mid-late December reveal.

hope that the brighter colour will make the car standout....from the pic the design look too old fashion...the foglight is kinda retarded out of no where

Personally the overall look is more to capture the old Mercedes Nostalgia of the W124 and the quality. I know that Mercedes engineers have been working full time in effort to diminish any problems that will affect the new car like what happend with the W211.

Lets just say that the technology and dynamics will dominate the class to begin with but 2003 will repeat itself as the E60 did over the W211.

After driving a 5er prototype I cannot offer a comparison until I get behind the wheel of the new E-Klasse with but the looks , I am afraid it looks too boxy and angular the wheel arch over the rear wheels is also overstyled and even does not connect anywhere except to bulge out the rear end. I admire this feature on the GLK possibly my favourite Mercedes design at the moment , here on the GLK the angular design works and gives a feel of teutonic supremacy.

But If you want to know who will win the beauty contest I am afraid it will be the F10 5er.
but no doubt the new E-Klasse will still be the best Taxi Cab available
