They have drivers so most of the big shots ride in the back. The S-Class is too big for them so the 'Stretch E' (and co.) fits them just right. And some of politically incorrect statements made ... well, I'm not going there.

But I can read the introduction which is in a larger fontsize, here a little translation:

Some paragraph titles "New four headlights front" and "Adaptive dampening system".

Not really useful information to you I guess.
Maybe that Ree or Cawimmer could get their hands on the magazine since they live in Germany. And my German isn't really that good though.

Tarek got it right, it's their mentality. Edit: I see he changed his post but he was right.
It may sound a bit stupid and superficial but the larger the car the better it is because in China a large car represents status and success. The size of the car set itself apart from normal cars.

Though I'm not 100% sure but the flagships like the Audi A8, BMW 7 and Mercedes S-class are only available through special orders/import/channels in China and are therefore much more expensive to afford. That could also be the reason for having LWB versions.

But the current normal cars are getting larger with every generation.
For example the current Ford Mondeo is larger than a Mercedes E-class and wider than a Mercedes S-class.
When I think about it, having a LWB car especially in China suddenly makes more sense/comprehensible now.
