I can't see the reason for them not to use the new mirrors for MY09,
it just got updated in Germany, so just wait a little longer and they will be on the 09s around the world

I sure wish we could see either the E or CLK officially for the Paris show.

^ 99% we will see the E first.
Why? Because a) it's further into development and real pics have already leaked. b) Mercedes wants the world to believe the CLK is based on the E rather than the C (which we know is not the case). The next CLK will have similar styling as the E (like all previous generations), and thus be presented after we've seen the E.

So klier, whats your take on the all the (1990s like) square symmetry used in the design work. You think this is going to lead into a new wave on automotive "fashion?".

I think we'll see the CLK first since in the U.S. it didn't get the same upgrades the E and every other MB got for 2009. Also I think the last year "special editions" have gone on sale already, all of this IMO hints to a Spring 09 introduction in the U.S. which would mean a Fall 08' intro for Europe.

The new E is rolling on road literary half naked while the CLK is still heavily covered up. I'd be taken by surprise if the CLK makes it to the show room first. Further more the CLK design is E-class derived and the sedan of a new model usually gets released first since it tend to be inferior in terms of eye candy. Releasing the coupe first will make people yawn when the sedan is unveiled, we saw it happen to Audi with the A5 and new A4.

Well either or, I just want to see one of them in time for the Paris show. I can't imagine Mercedes not having something major to show at Paris.
