Well , as you all know , when it comes to owning a car and stuff , u try to learn how it works , and how to get the best out of the car , especially when its a performance car ..... In this case , ive learned alot about my car (the E63) , now the truth is , it does not have all that available torque at low revs as you all know , no matter if u have the ESP switched off or on the car will not skid at take off , so just about a week ago , i was driving it during a period i like to call (enjoy my ride) lol , thats late at night . I thought since the mass torque is located far off the start which is at arround 4500 rpm , maybe I could get some more rev off the take off and get a good 350- 390 ft/lbs of torque , something similar to the launch control in the M5 , so I used my left foot to hold the breaks , and I hit the gas peddle till I reached 2500 rpm , switched off the ESP , and setup the gearing to manual mode , then I let go of the breaks and peddled to the meddle , the car took off with great throttle and managed to hold that revv , with a loud reaction from the exhaust and engine , the rubber did peel out a little bit , but not to the extent where it might affect timing , I think i did about 4 seconds flat .....
I called my cousin whom had traded his E55 for a white E63 , to test the differences , i told him to accelerate like normal , so we went at it , the difference off the start to 60 mph was a somewhat 1 car and a half difference .....
I guess what im trying to say is i can manage to feel the rush of the E55 now , and skip that lag off the start .. So I called it my own launch control , and its not complicated at all ... Just a piece of info i liked to share with you guys ...
