![]() | Re: 2009 E-Class Sedan & Estate (Spy pics & details) Looks Ok. Doesn't look as nice as the current generation yet. Will wait for the reveal before deciding on my position. The rear looks quite ordinary but it may be quite hidden for all we know. If the interior is like the C or GLK then Mercedes is not trying hard enough with interiors. I hope this car is great.

In the spyphoto you can see there's white-ish horizontal bar behind the camouflage where usually the foglights should be located. They have been kind of testing the foglights in which seemed to be dual foglights a la Brabus style, perhaps they were just testing a wide setting of LED's. The inner headlight unit which sits next to the grille. There's a thing that looks white and shiney and stands vertical, could it be LED as well? Kind of like the ones that can be found on the Mercedes F700 conceptcar? Anyway I could be wrong though, any thoughts? ![]() ![]() |

![]() | Re: 2009 E-Class Sedan & Estate (Spy pics & details) I'm not looking forward to those very SL facelift look-a-like headlights. Side profile looks typically brillaint Mercedes except I prefer how BMW deals with the C pillar. This car looks nothing like a BMW, EnI. Concave, Convex or Con-whatever where not invented by BMW. If a car needs a concave surface to create the best design then so be it. BMW do not own concave and convex design patterns. I do agree on the design of this car being very brave. They have either designed this car perfectly right or just plain wrong! I can't decide yet. No one should be able to either as the car hasn't been relesed...

I do not have a direct resemblance to BMW in mind when saying this is the first "MBMW model" by MB, but what I want to point out is MB started to follow the trends (eg. convex / concave surfaces with sharp creases), and using more expressive design elements than ever before recently. Nothing bad in doing that. Everybody is following the trends. I love to see more expressive design from MB - done in modern way (convex / concave with sharp creases). Now I see OCD exterior styling ("flame surfaced") wasn't just a coincidence & "had no agenda" like eg. some claimed (eg. Marcus ). | |
