First of all thanks Tycoon for posting those pics from worldcarfans!

Merc1, I wouldn`t jump to conclusions just yet, MB designers are still doing very well and the people in the camo department do a fantastic of masking the next generational cars. In this example you can see the thick
masking over the C-Pillar and rear door windows making it impossible for viewers to figure out what the heck is going on under there. That upper boxy line is indeed artificial. The round headlights are a thing of the past at Mercedes! One can also tell that the next generation E is a lot larger than the currant model, the interior volume will increase a good deal. The "triangle" like tail lights are also a thing of the past. Thay will be different in the 09 E.

Well of course you know I know this, but it is that initial panic. Same thing with the S, CL, C, etc. So far we've had nothing to worry about, but I've grown so fond of the W211 so I don't want to see it messed up.

I hope the new E-Classes front end looks just like this, even if it looks a little Lexusish. All car manufactorers pull stying cues from each other, who cares what the fanboys say!

I hate all of those. The E needs to keep the round lights. This Lexus GS looking thing is a mess.
