Actually, I think it's more of a blend of C and GLK. It's more GLK than C though. The layout of the dash, the COMAND screen and controler, instrument cluster, and the center console layout. The only difference is that the E will have buttons for the AC (the row of buttons instead of rotary knobs in the C & GLK), the AC vents are not squared (like the GLK's) and there will be a watch between them.

Agreed. Overall I think the current E-Class has the best interior as far as design and layout goes. It looks superb and all functions are easily accessible. Very user friendly.

The interior looks way old school Benz w/ a modern twist. I'm lovin it! BTW, anyone know how long it will have been that this car has been in development(testing) before launch in '08/'09?? I think for the W204 was for 5 yrs?

i see bmw and mercedes have similar designs in the interior, especially where the navigation screen and the 'hump'. But i am not saying they are copying each others designs . But i am a bit suprised about these mercedes interiors, impressed actually
I do see the slight similarities to the 5 series because when you see the center console stack it is alike, but cant really judge that, until we see clear pics
