Mercedes-Benz CLK coupe officially ends production

Mercedes-Benz has officially ended production of its popular CLK Coupe. First launched in the U.S. market in 1997, the CLK was a mish-mash of E-Class styling on the C-Class’s platform, with a price tag slotting between both model lines.

Although the CLK’s name won’t live on, the spirit of the two-door will. Mercedes-Benz is planning on replacing the CLK-Class with a new E-Class coupe later this year. The current CLK will remain on sale until the E-Class coupe rolls into Mercedes dealerships.

Although the coupe-variant of the CLK is no longer in production, Mercedes will continue building the CLK convertible until June. That extended production run should keep dealers’ lots stocked with cabrios until the E-Class convertible comes on line sometime next year.

Already out of production on no Final Series or so!?!

for whatever it's worth since the E coupe will ahve such a price bump, mercedes should sell the CLK with V6's and below and a reduced price, below the C class for another year or so, it would make a sales hit :P

i dont see who in there right mind would buy a brand new Clk Caborio knowing full well theres a new model alreday availbale in coupe form, and cabrio form within 6mnths........Even with a huge discount its not making sense, especially if you factor in the Resale value....And todays market climate....
