The car is officially named (as I already subtly hinted above):

Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe

A hardtop version will be named RR Phantom Coupe. Coming in approx. 1.5 year.

Corniche & Camargue will be used for a baby RR convertible & coupe. Along with Silver Shadow (Spur, Cloud, Ghost, Wright) - which will be a sedan.

Wait, wait here. Am I reading it right, that there will be a baby RR coupe and convertible? What type of cars will they be, more driver oriented RRs, will whey be based on the sma platform as the new 7er? More information please.

I hope you are being sarcastic.

Because till RR / Bentley separation in 2003, Bentley was just a RR with a slightly different face - Bentley being a sporty alter ego of RR.

So, Arnage (on which Azure is based) is a carbon copy of RR Silver Seraph. That's why RR Phantom Drophead Coupe is in some design cues almost identical to Azure. Because Azure / Arnage is actaully a re-badged RR!

New Bentley models now follow their own design path, moving away from classic RR styling cues. I'm sure next Arnage / Azure line will be quite different from RR Phantom line.

But right now Arnage / Azure = old RR (Silver Seraph).

^^
Very correct Eni. The RR Silver Seraph and Bentley Arnage are a case of "same shit, different toilet". Both cars are more of less clones.

2001 Arnage:

2001 Sivler Seraph

Yes. Modified 7er platform will be a base for a future baby RR line. Right now only sedan is confirmed (expect a 102EX concept sometimes in 2007! eg. Frankfurt or LA ), but coupe & cabrio derivate are also expected to get a green light in the next months - for a approx. 2011-13 launch.

Baby line will be a modern interpretation of RR brand - opposite of classic Phantom line. A young RR. A RR re-born. Expect more aggressive & sporty styling (steeper nose, smaller grille, lower greenhouse etc), more hi-tech (from F01 7er), less traditional approach. Yet still a lot of RR design trademarks: greek temple grille, Emily, suicide doors, two-tone exterior, waftability line, significant RR "swoosh" side lines, lots of wood & chrome etc. Note: Baby line will still be more expensive than Bentley Continental line!

I'm not too fond of the front. Everything else is good, but that front is bugging me for some reason.

I'm expecting the baby Rolls to have a 200k sticker price like the Arnage. A 102EX concept in 2007
I'm really curious to see what BMW have in mind for the baby rolls. They have done a fantastic job with the Phantom which doesn't have any German ques at all. I'm a sucker for British cars and it worries me that all the British companies are in hands of non British owner, but so far so good.

I don't digg these official pictures at all. I would have wanted to see the car photographed in Monaco or in any playboy city. THis combo would probably work for the car:
