Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead CoupeThis is a discussion on Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe within the Drophead Coupe forums, part of the Rolls-Royce category; I still prefer the Azure as an overall droptop. This Drophead though...looks good... |

![]() | These pictures are great! Are there any more maybe that show the car outside? Or maybe some in other colours? Not sure whether this colour and the bonnet would look better in daylight... |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Rolls Royce Drophead convertible Small article from a blog, originally from AutoWeek.nl "Rolls-Royce is set to take the wraps off a new convertible at the Detroit Motor Show less than two weeks from now, and have leaked a few photos to get our Spirits of Ecstasy flying. Although the name is not yet officially known, most insiders predict a revival of the Corniche nameplate for this grand cabriolet that picks up where the show-stopping 100EX concept car left off in 2004. As can be seen from the press photos, some of the highly unique features from the show car have made it into the pre-production version. One of the most intriguing is the classic speedboat-style teak boot-lid under which the power soft-top will stow. The sinister LED headlights have also carried through, as has the stunning brushed-aluminum hood section (as unlikely as it was predicted that it would make it to production). The suicide doors are also there, granting elegant access to the world-class cabin with what looks like ample room, front and back. The trunk also has a unique split opening, one section folding down like a tailgate and another up like a conventional trunk lid. Aside from the images, which you can check out after the jump, no details were released, but we can reasonably expect it will carry the 6.75-liter V12 and six-speed auto-box from its sister saloon the Phantom." |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If I had one of these on order I would probably cancel my order and call my local Bentley dealer for an Azure. I'm really dissapointed. This car doesn't look nearly as aggressive as the concept. More over I'm not diggin the head lights, the Phantom has a much nicer looking front. To be honest I was expecting a coupe with killer looks and this doesn't do it for me. I prefer by far the Azure. ![]() ![]() |

I thought they should have given the drophead other tail lights or a completley different rear becasue does ones aren't looking as good as they do on the Phantom. Then again mybe we are a bit quick to judge. As with any car this one will probably look damn good in black with an alu bonnet. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Rolls Royce Drophead convertible OK. Now I can finally reveal my soul, and not to be killed for that. The car is officially named (as I already subtly hinted above): Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe ![]() A hardtop version will be named RR Phantom Coupe. Coming in approx. 1.5 year. Corniche & Camargue will be used for a baby RR convertible & coupe. Along with Silver Shadow (Spur, Cloud, Ghost, Wright) - which will be a sedan.
