They don't ship, they fly them over. I've even seen a matte black Mini Cooper here with Kuwait plates. Flying the car over as a private person will probably run the same cost as the car itself. One guy has flewn over his M5 and a Veyron while many others have taken 2-3 cars with them. Quite different considering that normal people sometimes even hesitate to take their laptops with them on their holidays.

The wealthy people in the Arabic nations are closely knit so calling for favour isn't a problem so most of the cars were probably flewn over through contacts int he aviation industry. Went around town today and there are still a lot of Arabs here, the women spend their days shopping Marc Jacob bags and jewelery. Completely hijacked all the high end department stores.

There has also been a discussion sparked over Arabs having their drivers circulate Maybachs and S-classes around Harrods, Selfridges and other high end department stores for 1-3 hours. Parking too far from the shopping spot isn't an option since the master want to be able to jump straight into the car when ever they feel like it.
