Hmmm, I'm not so sure about that EnI. I would argue the whole concept of "good taste" is predominantly a middle class concern. In the past, the elites bought tasteful things because they were the only ones who could afford them -- those things were more a testament to the refined sense of taste of the artisans who made them more often than the aristocrats who bought them.
Also, with regards to the Rolls-Royce Luwalira posted, it is owned by an Arab sheikh (as Maserati has informed us), there is a different culture here as well -- besides, at this social level, are issues of good and bad taste really an issue? ......I mean, in many ways nearly all Rolls-Royces could be seen as quite kitsch.
