![]() ![]() | Lingenfelter Corvette Z06 427 Twin Turbo ![]() ![]() ![]() Legendary race car driver, engineer and tuner John Lingenfelter built his reputation modifying GM vehicles. With his expertise, he was able to bring extraordinary performance to many of their vehicles. Today, John Lingenfelter is best remembered for two things: his ability to achieve mind-blowing performance without sacrificing everyday drivability, and his reputation for breaking performance records with his modified Corvettes. John LingenfelterÂ’s dreams are carried out now through his company Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE) which honors its founder not only by continuing to specialize in Corvettes, but also by developing vehicles with refined power, speed and control. This Corvette is not a stripped down race car and still has the full interior, stock seats & air conditioning. The car still has the factory style independent rear suspension and could be a daily driver. The car is fitted with a Lingenfelter six point roll bar with side bar swing outs and Simpson 5 point harnesses. The tires used where standard production Michelin Pilot Sport PS2, mounted on HRE 840R series wheels. Power is 1,100 HP to the rear wheel on 93 octane or 1,300 HP rear wheel HP on race gas 23 psi boost. It Reached 0-200 mph in 18.34 seconds on 93 octane pump gas and the standing mile in 25.12 seconds at 226.25. Based on horsepower and drag of the vehicle. calculated top speed of roughly 300 MPH! The Lingenfelter 2006 ZO6 Corvette 427 CID Twin Turbo blasted down the 11,800 foot runway from a dead stop to a measured mile at 226.25 MPH! The last time a LPE Corvette went 226 MPH was back in March 2000 where we took a 1999 Corvette 650 HP Twin Turbo on the 7.5 mile long high bank oval track in Ohio. This car with John Lingenfelter driving was going more than 200 MPH coming out of the number four turn then the car hit 226 MPH before letting up for the next turn.
