Seeing as the RR Phantom has I-Drive, it seemed obvious the Mini would get it!

What are Mini calling it?

Positive.

But mind that current MINI has got similar system already - only controller in stick form (plus additional buttons) on center console will be new.
Currently the controlling part is just under NAV display.

Why BMW are still so hidding that MINiDrive so much?

It's about time to upset the public that R56 MINI - when offered with NAV system - comes with its own iDrive system.

IMO automotive journalists will be in total shock when the MINiDrive news hit them ...
