Limited-edition Mini for SA's lucky few

BMW SA will bring in only 50 limited-edition Mini Sidewalk convertibles with special paint colours, exclusive alloy rims, leather upholstery and foglights, as we - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.

The car has a black lower sill, chromed trim around the base of each windows and body-colour mirrors. The 17" silver and anthracite "Night Spoke" rims are fitted with run-flat tyres and a tyre-pressure monitor warns the driver of any loss of pressure.

The Sidewalk logo is embossed on the door sills and the interior is trimmed in brown leather with silver piping

The front seats are adjustable for height and the steering wheel has audio and cruise control switches, while the fascia, door linings and speaker surrounds are finished in high-gloss material with chromed bezels around the instruments and switchgear.

The Sidewalk also has a lights package comprising reading lamps, entry lights and indirect illumination on the door handles inside the car.

Air-conditioning is standard, as are a trip data computer and a radio/CD player with an auxiliary connection for MP3 players.

Extra cost options include:


Xenon headlights.
Satellite navigation with 16: 9 colour display.
High-quality audio system.
Heatable windscreen.
Automatic air-conditioning.
Wind deflector
The Sidewalk logo is embossed on the door sills and the interior is trimmed in brown leather.
Rain sensor.
Automatic anti-dazzle interior mirror.

It's available with a choice of 85kW Cooper or 125kW Cooper S engine; a six-speed manual gearbox is standard but an infinite CVT automatic transmission with an electronically controlled, multi-disc, wet clutch can be ordered for either engine and a six-speed semi-automatic transmission with paddle shift is available on Cooper S models.

Automatic stability and traction control is optional on the Cooper, standard on the Cooper S and a dynamic stability control programme is available for either model.

That looks pretty hot. I'm not a fan of convertible, but give me that exterior/interior combo on Cooper S works.
