![]() | Flying Spur So what do you think of the Flying Spur (or Flying brick as Merc1 calls it). Personally it doesn't do much for me - it's a nice car undoubtedly, but it's just not inspiring at all. ![]() The original Flying Spur from the mid 1960's. I do think Bentley have captured some of the old model's character in the new one quite well without resorting to a blatant "Retro" design rip-off - for that, at least, they should be commended. ![]()

![]() ![]() | Re: Flying Spur i dont like this car but the frontlooks ok but when ever i see a side profile of this car it looks like that new "luxury hundai" or how ever it is spelled. i dont no why any one would buy this car instead of the arnage. the interior is not bad though |

The interior is awesome as is the power, but the whole presentation of the car isn't anywhere near that of the Arnage. its that front-end styling, looks like a giant VW to me especialy the fenders. M

![]() | Re: Flying Spur I don't mind this car at all. Sure, it's not as well exected as a certain coupe-***-sedan, but it's certainly got presence and it reeks of luxury. And that, really, is it's main purpose, design-wise; to evoke the feeling of luxury and "Bentley-ness" to consumers. And with that in mind, it passes with flying colours. It looks great in the flesh, not nearly as tall and boxy as it shows in the photos. Then again, with the semi-sporty aura that the Continental GT posesses, I did initially expect the car to look slightly more 'sports influenced', through a low roofline and tapering rear end, but you know, Bentley, with such a high-profile luxury image cannot afford to sacrifice headroom and bootspace for more sportier looks. But I guess, that's really not what this car's really about. (Although the twin-turbo W12 and 200mph top speed hardly suggest a luxury car, but let's not mention that. ) |
