![]() | New objects I thought I would share a passion of mine with you. Here are some recent objects by a few of the world's most influential designers and manufacturers. Firstly, some furniture by the very conceptual and interesting Dutch designer, Marcel Wanders. These are his "New Antiques", they are made by the famous Italian furniture manufacturer Cappellini. ![]() ![]() This elegant little table is called the "0.6km table" - it is designed by Makoto Yamaguchi for the Japanese company Ribbon. ![]() This amazing bookshelf/container system was designed by Luca Nichetto for Krios Italia ![]() These phones by Nokia are quite cool in their own way, they are the L'Amour Collection, and will be released next year. ![]() I like this very much, stemless wineglasses and a decanter by Riedel. ![]() These new sofas are designed by one of THE designers of the moment, Spanish born, Patricia Urquiola - "Tuffy Time" soft furniture collection made by the major Italian firm B&B Italia ![]() ![]() Last edited by SDNR; 12-29-2005 at 03:06 AM. |

![]() | Re: New objects Great stuff notic - the Noguchi table is an extraoridinary piece of design - no matter how many times you see it, even in very mediocre surroundings, it has remained fascinating Alex: It's just a passion of mine, I have no personal association with any of those designers or brands - I really think every object in your life should be exquisite and aesthetically powerfull IMO - I believe in having an emotional relationship with your chair, teapot, or car - lol. ![]() The designer of that little table is Makoto Yamaguchi - he is an architect. Here is a house he designed in Yokohama, Japan, 2000 - I think it is very beautiful. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is a villa/gallery he designed in Karuizawa, Japan, 2003. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() | Re: New objects Ah, you people have good taste! Here are a couple of interesting designs I like. The Arne Jacobsen/Fritz Hansen egg chair - exceptionally stylish, and VERY comfortable! ![]() Poliform furniture and storage systems are simple and elegant ![]() The Agamemnon light by architect Emilio Ambasz ![]() The Lucille Halsell Conservatory, also by Ambasz ![]() The Marcel Breuer Cesca armchair (of which I have 8). Unfortunately this has been copied countless times by cheap furniture companies, diminishing the original's impact. ![]()
