German Car Zone

Hey dudes!
long time since I've submitted my last piece here.
As some of you already know, I study Transportation Design at the Pforzheim University of Applied Scinces here in Germany.
Last July I finished the second semster, which was more stressful than i thought, but it also was a lot of fun.
The content of the Semseter was conceptualized to refine the creativity and the displaying skills of the students with small, weekly projects which went till the middle of the semester and a larger project in the second half of it.
Here I present you my result of the larger project.
we were given the task of changing the (lame) image of environmentally friendly cars with design, under the aspects that we see suitable.
The project was partially sponsered by Mercedes, that's why it's a Mercedes that I've designed. I hope you like it

Who said that environmentally concious driving should be boring?
Forget everything you know about conventional eco-cars.

The E.matic was conceptualized for young, dynamic drivers, who attach importance to a notacable, yet not provoking appearance.
The design of the vehicle signalizes a light character, which can be experienced in daily driving. Only highly stiff plastics and lightest metals were used for manufacturing the car.
The car is powered by 4 elctric in-wheel engines (E.Matic). This guarantees not only a clean environment, but also an optimal weight distribution.
solar energy collecting surfaces cover the fornt part of the car and provide the interior with energy, while the four electric engines are energized by a high-performance Nanosafe™ battery, which allows recharging in about 10 minutes.
The battery packs are placed into the floor of the car, between the front and the rear wheels. This also guarantees an efficient weight distribution.
