Although just a concept, Schulze envisages his new design one day being built over the mechanicals of a Lamborghini Gallardo and sold as a modern version of the original Pantera. Although the chances of this happening are unlikely, there is some hope for the rebirth of the Tomaso brand. Last year reports emerged claiming a group of American and Chinese investors were investigating the possibility of building new versions of the Pantera and Mangusta (another Tomaso vehicle) supercars. The original Pantera was a unique Italian supercar built from 1970 up until 1996 in very limited numbers. It featured a steel monocoque chassis and a 330hp 5.7L Ford Cleveland V8 engine mated to a ZF five-speed manual. The cars were sold in the US by Ford through its Lincoln dealers and one was even sold to Elvis Presley. - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER |
