I have it as a podcast. I tried to search the video but couldn't find it. See if you can find it somewhere, it was on BBC's Newsnight Daily on 24 January 2007 and it's called "China's new architecture".

Thanks for the article bmer,

Beijing and Shanghai are extraordinary places but a lot of the new architecture is charmless and flashy -- they have kind of become like giant Disneyesque playgrounds for big-name architects.

The architects who designed the new stadium are among my absolute favourites working today: Herzog & de Meuron.
