German Car Zone

Hi People!

Back in September 2006, German car mag Autozeitung started a design contest in which reader has the chance to send their imaginations of a Ferrari Concept and the next generations of the following cars:
Audi A2
BMW 3-Series
Ford Capri
MB E-class
Opel Astra
Peugeot 407
Porsche 911
VW Golf

Every reader had the right to enter in one or more catagories. The entries were judged and rated by prominent designers of those Firms (e.g. P.Pfeifer for MB, A. Van Hooydonk)

And guess what? GCZ has two of the winners as active members!!
Canay Won the Ford Capri and the Ferrari Concept categories (congrats mate!)
I won the BMW 3er Catagory!
Canay's price is a visit to the Ford design center in Cologne and probably a chance to work actively with the design team

My price is a 3 months internship at BMW's design studios in Munich.. I'm extremely happy with that, esp. because I was preparing an application portfolio for BMW.. Now I don't have to apply for an internship.. it came to me

I'll be putting my 3er design online soon.. maybe Enes can do the same with his Capri Concept (I really liked it the first time I saw it and thought that it had great chances of winning )

I know that Canay already mentioned his win in an other thread but I thought it deservs a saparate thread

Cool.. never knew that! I'm really excited to get their and watch how those masterpieces aer made.. I certainly won't get an excess all areas badge but I hope I'll be able to see some the upcoming models.. just to satisfy my curiousity

Oh god no.. firstly because I think these two guys are great and hope that they stay at BMW (or go to mercedes ) and secondly because I don't think I'll ever be interested in being a head designer somewhere even if I had the qualification - thank god i don't!

I only sent the BMW one because of lack of time.. it was even only few hours before the deadline I would've like to enter the Audi and maybe the VW category but I didn't have the time

I already congratulatyed Canay in another thread, and congrats to you too man! Can't wait to see what you guys won with, either way I'm sure it was amazing.

I hope this is good leap into the world of auto industry for you.
