Yeah, saw that one. I think it said the price per key/button on keyboard is something like 15$...

I don't really understand why this thing costs so much!

Lets rephrase the question. Why would you not want it?

Beside making your friends drool the keyboard does have a very useful purpose. The whole idea of the keyboard is for it to change with which ever software you're using. If you're playing a game the letters will change into symbols representing different features or actions in the game. If you're using photoshop some of the symbols might turn into paint brushes, line draw etc.
