Next Mercedes CLS spied - Autocar.co.uk

What's interesting to me is this piece of information:

It will be the firm’s first model to get a new range of turbocharged, direct injection petrol engines. All of these units will be turbocharged when the car goes on sale soon after its unveiling...

...The new engine line up starts with a 3.0-litre V6 with 252 and 306bhp. Two big petrol twin-turbo V8s will be available, a 4.6 with 435bhp and a 5.5 with 544bhp.

The diesels include the new 2.1-litre four-cylinder with 204bhp and an upgraded 3.0-litre V6 with 231bhp.

252 Bhp from a 3.0 V6 isn't really flattering, but that 4.6 V8 with 435 sounds tempting. I assume that is the upgraded version of the engine being used in the model's designated 450? and the 5.5 is the new AMG unit?

Getting to the diesel if they can get 204 out of a 2.1L 4 cyl motor then I really wish they get 250+ from the 3.0L V6.

I really wonder if Mercedes-Benz will release this car right on time to rival the new F10?

I´ve asked a guy of another forum that usually has very good info about the new Mercedes launches, I think he works for Mercedes.

Yes Huckeldt drew these 2 chops after seeing the actual car or maybe an early design. Since then ofcourse, minor changes have been made like the things u noticed +the mirrors. It is VERY accurate. The back will look even better than the CGI...

Yes it will get a stripe of LEDS on the bumper like the W221, and the LEDS inside the headlights will probably be used for low beam light (also like the W221)

I wonder why this person doesn't know about the interior. It's going to be very much in line with the E-Class & E Coupe interiors. We've seen it in spy shots already:
