I can't see this being the CLK63 Black Series, this is going to be the next DTM variant IMO.

Because the first one was sold out in like 5 mins and there were only 100 copies. This CLK DTM will used the new V8 whereas the other one didn't. Anyway no big deal what its called long as it is hardcore because we know whatever it is it will be frightfully expensive!

I absolutely love the wheel arches here!

I don't think so. The styling, espcecially the wheel arches aren't as sharp and huge like they are on DTM cars and the CLK DTM. The styling is much more similar to the SLK 55 black addition.

Well we'll just have to see.

Mercedes know they're wringing the most out of this generation CLK though.

Re: CLK-DTM Part II! - 08-25-2006, 09:42 AM

Either you guys had seen this, or you were just right based on the styling of the car, but yes it looks like this is going to be the CLK63 Black Series:

After doing so with the SLK 55 AMG just recently, engineers are now making the CLK 63 AMG even sportier: They are about to develop an exclusive, emphatically puristic special series, a car that sets new standards in handling dynamics – the CLK 63 AMG Black Series - and not the CLK Facelift as previously reported. With the AMG 6.2-litre V8 engine, which has been boosted to 530 bhp, the numerous lightweight components, 19-inch AMG forged wheels, AMG adjustable sports suspension and AMG high-performance composite brakes, the special CLK 63 AMG brings its sports car talents to bear even more convincingly – and cuts an impressive figure especially on racing circuits.
