Hello, i own a 2003 clk 500 and i want to in the future get an amg package on the engine and the exhaust. I was wondering how much would that be like a ruff estimate. oh and is it possible to ask them to make it into a clk 55 amg. just as for as the engine and performance goes.. or even better.

First of all, where are you? The price for an AMG body kit will vary from country to country. The easiest thing to do is visit your local Mercedes dealer and enquire about the price.

Thank you for the help i live in USA..I was going to go to my Mercedes dealer but wanted to know a good price before i went just in case they try to over charge me or something hehe.

Mercedes benz will not upgrade your engine to an AMG powerplant. You can make cosmetic changes (bumper, side skirt, rear skirt, lip spoiler, AMG exhuast, AMG rims, AMG brakes, etc) and upgrade to AMG suspension, but it will cost you quite a bit if you buy genuine AMG parts from the dealer.

Also, as PC noted, MB will not turn your CLK500 into a CLK55 / CLK63 AMG. You need to buy the real thing if you want that power. They can however change your can into an "AMG" through the addition of an AMG body kit, seats, rims, tachometer etc. but it will cost you.

Oh also to whoever else is reading this. I just found out from my MB dealer that no they do not do amg packages on the engine. but other places do.. which i will be doing oh and they said yes they can make it as fast and more powerful then 55 amg... as long as you have the money!

AMG package in the US is usually around $4,000.

There are plenty of aftermarket, non-OEM options for you. I would seriously consider a Kleeman supercharger if you have the money.......or Brabus can rebuild your entire engine and increase its displacement and HP too......that is a whole lot of $$$$$.

Other things you can consider: cams, headers, lighter or underdrive pulleys, exhaust, and ECU tune. There are many aftermarket suspension upgrades as well to make a better handling car.
