Alongside with the spyphoto's that PHYBENZ posted, there's also some interesting information written concerning this next generation CLK.
It's in Dutch but I'll sum up the key points:

In the introduction, there will be 3 gasoline engines available:
- CLK 350, at least 300 HP
- CLK 450, 354 HP
- CLK 550, 428 HP

There also will be 2 diesel engines using Bluetec technology:
- 2.0 liter 4 cilinder engine with 204 HP
- 3.0 liter 6 cilinder engine with 252 HP

The AMG versions:
- CLK 63 AMG, normal, 481 HP
- CLK 63 AMG, "Black Series", 525 HP
- CLK, "Signature Series", around 700 HP (rumor)

Mercedes-Benz CLK salesnumbers:
In 2006 Mercedes-Benz sold 395.000 CLK's.
In 2010 Mercedes-Benz want to sell: 535.000 CLK's.

The new CLK:
To lure customers away from BMW and Audi, Mercedes-Benz has put the emphasize of the CLK on style, prestige and eminent technology.
According to insiders, Mercedes-Benz wanted to give the CLK the same level of fit and finish as the S-class including some of the high-tech equipment of that car.
There will be also a convertible available and it will be a soft top. Mercedes-Benz is calling the high-tech heated top the "Silent Top".
The convertible will most probably be available at the beginning of the year 2010.

Sounds like facts mixed with fiction. 700hp is very excessive in an CLK and would mess up the upper echelon MB portfolio.

I really like that engine lineup. If true that means that 428hp will be the figure for all the "550" models starting with the CLK and S/CL facelifts which should come right along with this and the next E-Class. Finally we'll likely get a S450 here with 354hp. Nice.

This car looks to be shaping up real nice. Definately love the idea of high end appeal with this car. The last one, was kind of "oh well."

headlights and taillights give a lot of depth. CAn't wait to see it naked.

Can't wait to see this one. the 3 coupe and A5 are real beauties. The CLK will need to be very very special!

3.5 liters for the smallest gasoline unit seems a bit odd to me.

Also the sales numbers are a bit fishy. Those are HUGE volumes. Especially the 2010 target.
Mercedes-Benz CLK sales numbers:
In 2006 Mercedes-Benz sold 395.000 CLK's.
In 2010 Mercedes-Benz want to sell: 535.000 CLK's.

no doubt mercedes will surprise us with the CLK just like they did with the previous models , and with amg miracle's happen.

Those numbers are definitely wrong. 395000 even exceeds the c class annual sales. Perhaps they meant from launch of that model to '06

Yeah that's what I thought also.

Here's a rendering I did in photoshop using the parts off a c-class. I know the rear is totally off but I think the front end and roof line should be pretty accurate based on the spy shot I used as a base. (I did this just for fun, I know it's not accurate and I'm not a graphic artist so try not to crucify me )

The CLK has always been a bit more premium than the 3er coupe. Eventhough I'm not expecting to see a CLK 180, a CLK 230 will most likely be a part of the line up.
