The exterior, in proper trim like in my photos (the white one especially), can look very charming. I personally think that white CLC230 looks pretty hot. This design makes the old CL203 Sportcoupe look outright bland - despite the new CL204 simply being a "major facelift" of that same car.

Yes, but with some major modifications and improvements. I recall reading in Autobild that there are over 2,500 changes of various nature to this car.

That ClC230 doesn't look to bad, but the CLC180 is awful!!!

I think it's pretty pathetic they didn't at least remove the cutline on the place where the old backlights were....looks very cheap. It would've looked a lot better without that cutline.
