Although available in Canada, it appears the - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER amongst concerns of deteriorating USD/Euro exchange rates as well as negative brand implications as Mercedes-Benz, a name associated with upmarket premium cars, introduces a vehicle down market. Nonetheless, the B-Class is going strong in Europe where Mercedes-Benz brand image has greater depth. Here are the latest spy photos of the B-Class face-lift taken near Mercedes' Stuttgart headquarters. The face-lift includes a revised front bumper fascia with new air intake holes, side mirrors with integrated turn signals and modestly revised rear bumper fascia. Mercedes latest fuel and diesel engines, which produce more power yet consume less fuel, will naturally be included. The B-Class face-lift is expected to launch in spring 2008.

Hmmm...looks like they're changing the shape of the grille and that's it!
What a way to reduce weight... | | | | | Moderator

Probably the front is out of carbon... ...but you're right. The B-Class is to heavy for it's size. | | | | | Fanatic

The best possible face lift for the B-Class is to remove it from the Mercedes Benz product catalogue. | | | | | The Following 3 Users Say Thank You to martinbo For This Useful Post: | | | Fanatic

The C is as low as they should go. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to bum-man For This Useful Post: | | | Fanatic

Agree.
Both A and B-Class are wrong products.
The sandwich platforms gives them a too high shape, and very bad driving position, and the motors are way too noiy, whereas they have nothing from the Mercedes' comfort due to the short suspension...
I have nothing against the idea of an A-Class, but please with Mercedes' comfort and shape!!! | | | | | Devotee

It's blindingly obvious that Merc can make great cars. So why do they continue to pussy-foot about with these models? Some of the worst cars I've ever driven - and I've driven some rubbish in my time.
What Mercedes Benz really needs is a sleek, premium, 5 door RWD hatchback to take on the A3, 1er and Golf. Oh, and drop that daft cheese-wedge of a "sport coupe" too while you're at it.
My advice for the B-Class? Strip it out and turn it into a panel van, add low-emissions diesels, transfer it to Commercial Vehicles division and market it as a lightweight delivery vehicle aimed at florists and postal couriers and the like. Pitch it against the VW Caddys and Renault Kangoos and maybe there'll be some decent money in it still...
I should charge for such pearls of wisdom. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to martinbo For This Useful Post: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
